All Fisher Park Neighborhood residents, property owners, and those with offices within our neighborhood are encouraged to participate in any and all Fisher Park Neighborhood Association (FPNA) meetings and events! 

Fisher Park Neighborhood boundaries, generally, are south of Wendover Avenue to both sides of Church Street to the north side of Smith Street then curve onto Battleground Ave. including JoyMongers and Preyer Brewery, and to all of Wharton Street.  We encourage your active participation!

National Night Out Against Crime Social

Greensboro's police and fire employees join us for a cool treat, kids are introduced to our local police and fire staff, neighbors mingle, and we're all reminded of the importance of neighbors looking out for one another and communicating with police and neighbors when we see suspicious activities.

Halloween Parade & Party for Fisher Park Children
Saturday, October 27, 2018 4:00-6:00 pm
For children of neighborhood residents, property owners, and neighborhood businesses.
Parade begins at the intersection of Carolina Street and Fisher Park Circle.  Wear your Halloween costumes! Parade route is along Fisher Park Circle to Temple Emanuel on North Greene Street, where the party commences with treats and drinks.  Neighbors, please come out to cheer on our children's parade!  In case of ghoulish weather, the parade would be cancelled so go directly to Temple Emanuel for the party which is indoors.  Please contact Children's Events Coordinator Katie Bess, 478-714-4228 well ahead of time to volunteer help with decorations and/or donations of snacks, water, or fruit drinks.

Annual Meeting of the Fisher Park Neighborhood Association
Sunday, November 18, 2018 4:00 pm
Holy Trinity Church Broome Hall in the rear basement of Holy Trinity Church off Fisher Avenue.  ALL neighbors, whether residents, property owners, or business located within the Fisher Park Neighborhood (anywhere north of Smith Street, south or Wendover Avenue, west of the Church Street RR tracks, and east of Green Hill Cemetery) are encouraged to attend.  Refreshments are provided. Hear a review of the year's events and offer suggestions for our future.  Due to Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays, there is NO FPNA Board meeting and NO Historic Preservation Commission (HPC) meeting in November. Instead the FPNA Board meeting and HPC meeting are shifted to early November, as noted below.

Fisher Park Luminaria Kit Building Party
Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at 6:00 p.m.
Home of Kay Quinlivin at 910 Olive Street.
Neighbors who attend, please bring snacks and drinks to share as we assemble Luminaria kits of candles, cups, and bags.  Thereafter, on or by Sunday, December 10, over 36 Fisher Park Block Captain volunteers will deliver kits to the doorsteps of hundreds of Fisher Park Neighborhood residents and businesses participating in our annual Luminaria display. This is our neighborhood's only major fundraiser.  Proceeds support our neighborhood newsletter's printing as well as several neighborhood-wide social events and directives of the FPNA neighborhood Board.
